Assalamualykum wa rahmatullah!!!
I am craaazy! Youre never gonna believe what I just did! I just deleted an article I have to submit Sunday!!!!!!
Well, my little one was playing with the mouse n stuff and she accidentally clicked on something. so this msg popped up "exit word file, save changes?" i clicked NO. and then I realized that the article that I had completed 3/4th had been deleted. for good. crap!!
Well, there must be a reason, a maslehat for this. perhaps I may end writing better second time round? who knows? insha Allah.
Oh yeah.. I need a new wardrobe now. hardly anything fits. Just 3-4 dresses that aren't particularly wonderful. and gotta get some abayahs!!!! Man, I hate shopping. I never really know what to buy... I'm not exactly your Victoria Beckham. In fact I wish i dressed up a bit more and made more effort. My sisters think of me as a bad case of disinterest in clothes, shoes, bags and and have nearly given up on me. Nearly, because everytime we talk, they talk about how shoddy appearances are in fact unislamic... etc etc.
I have an appointment saturday, and i wish they'd tell me if its a boy or a girl. Personally think its a girl. Any guesses?
Yaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwnnnnn! I've been super-sleepy today. Gotta go do Asr. Ma'assalaam.

I'm terrible when it comes to clothes too.. I always tell myself I need to be less frumpy.. but that required energy haha.

Once very soon after I had gotten married we had to go to my huhb's friend's house. I assumed it would be a mixed gathering, and so slipped in to beautiful abaa, (not taking particular care to change my ratty t-shirt and jeans underneath).
when we got there, all ladies were dressed in their best, and they all said I could take the abaa off as there were no men in the ladies area there at all! I blushed and stammered and said how comfortable I was wearing my abaa. Finally they gave up on me, thinking I was slightly cuckoo up there. lol!!!!
LOL! the same thing happened to me! hahaha, okay but it was only in the company of 2 others sisters and i used my pregnancy as an excuse so they kinda let it slide... lol
Actually, I always make sure I take mum when going shopping clothes clothes & shoes, b'coz I may see something & fall in love with it...but it not be wise to buy it..
Mum has the wonderful power to foresee what I'll still like when I go back home (lol)..so she stops me from buying things I *think* I love, but she knows better....
Sigh..I LOVE shopping!!!
Anyway..the tailor got my EID clothes yesterday...YIPEEEE! And masha'Allah they turned out wonderful!

Sigh.. the good old days when Mom used to help us out shopping! thing is for many years now, my mother has been unwell and cannot accompany anyone. she rarely goes herself.
my sisters have great taste but are too busy with kids n stuff so cant take em along... am left to my own resources, which, lets face it, ain't too wonderful!
I'm dreading a trip to abu hail centre that i might have to make for an abaa. I never know what to get!!!! and the only things that i like are much too expensive!

At Abu Hail, I'd definitely recommend Al-Lijjah Abayas.
It says GR-19 on the tag, which ofcourse means Ground floor, shop 19...
My mum, sisters and I have been buying abayas from there, well... ever since we started wearing them, lol.
Talk to him in Urdu and ask for discounts.. He's very likely to give you discounts if you're urdu speaking.
